We've gathered some of the common questions and comments put to us by people who are thinking of joining us as a consultant, just in case you were wondering the same things...

How much does it cost to get started?

To get started you will need to purchase a Business Kit. It provides all you need to get going, and includes everything from an apron and napkins to plates and order forms. It also contains enough supplies and samples for your first tasting events and for training purposes.

The kit costs £115, but the idea is that the kit soon pays for itself through the tastings it enables you to run.

As well as investing in a Business Kit, we suggest that consultants might like to undertake a Basic Food Hygiene course (£25) and we recommend that they obtain personal liability insurance.

We also suggest consultants register with their local Environmental Health authority as a food busines – something that can be done filling out a simple form. All of this is straightforward to do, and we're more than happy to help with it if necessary.

What training will I receive?

We work with you to develop your training to meet your needs. We have a modular training system that you work on with your leader. There are three start-up modules that help you learn more about the business, our products and how to plan a successful launch. We also run your launch tasting with you.

Is there a commitment I have to give, or targets to meet?

We have a definition of an active consultant: someone who places £200 worth of retail orders over three months. This tells us that you are participating in events, and we support you as such. Other than that there are no targets that you have to achieve, but there are extra rewards and bonuses that you can earn.
